Charity Highlight

We love chucking paint and making people smile, but we also think it is important to give back. As a for profit company, we are excited we have the opportunity to partner with charities and help shine a light on their extraordinary work within society.

We are thrilled to be working with The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter.

The Western Pennsylvania Chapter was founded in 1982 to serve the needs of those living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and their caregivers. Our Chapter provides services and support to persons living with ALS, caregivers, families, and healthcare providers in 31 counties in central and western Pennsylvania.

The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. ALSA covers all the bases — research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy — in providing help and hope to those facing the disease.

The ALS Association National Office and the Western Pennsylvania Chapter operates under a shared mission: To lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.

We work together to accomplish our mission. The Western Pennsylvania Chapter focuses primarily on helping local patients and families live with ALS while the National Office focuses primarily on research and advocacy. The Chapter supports the National Office through revenue sharing and research contributions. The National Office supports the Chapters by providing up-to-date information and materials.

Our accomplishments are made possible by the generosity of others. From the smallest donation to the largest gift, donors touch the ALS community with hope for the future.

The Color Run is proud to announce a partnership with Huntsman Cancer Foundation and the Sigma Chi International Fraternity to be the generation to end cancer.

The Sigma Chi International Fraternity in the spirit of friendship, justice and learning dedicates it’s philanthropic efforts to Huntsman Cancer Foundation and pledges to be The Generation to End Cancer.  As such the fraternity has made the commitment to raise $10M for this cause.  This is the largest commitment to a philanthropy in the history of men’s fraternities.  Every dollar raised funds research that pursues the most novel and innovative projects with immediate implications in caring for cancer patients.

The Color Run is proud to support Huntsman Cancer Foundation and Sigma Chi on a nationwide scale and to use our events as a platform to support this cause.  There are countless stories with Color Runners across the US and even with our own employees about how we have used this event to find hope, health and happiness in the fight against cancer.  We are thrilled to be a part of this noble pursuit.  To find out more information visit thegenerationtoendcancer.org.

WOW! I cannot wait until The Color Run comes back to my city. It was seriously the best day. My friends and I had a blast.
My favorite part was the party at the finish line that had super cool photo ops, music, and a beach area with cool vibes!
The Tropicolor zone had big inflatable palm trees! My friends and I had so much fun this year. We love TCR!
The new Tropicolor tour is even better than last year! They had a sandy beach area at the end with huge inflatable beach balls. So fun.
The Color Run Tropicolor Tour is one of the funnest things my family and I have ever done. Very family friendly and super tropical.
